Support for all
Hi, I’m Jackie -- founder and owner of The Swell Home Services, LLC. As a wife, mother of two, and a speech-language pathologist, I’m honored to offer my services to you. After spending several years involved in the homeschooling and alternative schooling communities, I noticed a great need for speech and language supports. I was inspired to create The Swell Home in order to reach those who may have otherwise been underserved.
What is Speech Therapy?
Pediatric speech therapy is a specialized field of healthcare focused on helping children overcome communication challenges and develop essential language skills. Whether a child is struggling with articulation, language development, stuttering, or other speech-related issues, I am here to provide tailored and compassionate therapy solutions.
The Swell Approach
With nearly 20 years of experience working with pediatrics and adults in both medical and school settings, my intention as an educator and a therapist is to provide the tools to support your child in learning, growing, and gaining confidence in their communication skills. Treatment plans are tailored to the individual needs and goals are set accordingly. We aim for progress through a holistic, child-led, and family-centered approach, focusing on nature, play-based learning, social-emotional skills, and parental involvement.

Why Private Pay?
-
There is no need to wait for a referral from your pediatrician or for insurance approval before services can begin.
-
Services are generally offered in a private, 1:1 setting with an individualized plan based on the goals set forth by both the therapist AND the family. This allows us to customize the materials and sessions for your child's unique needs.
-
With private PAY, goals for therapy will be a collaborative effort, without worry of what will be covered by insurance.
-
Since sessions are typically on a 1:1 basis, there are more opportunities to practice targeted skills.
-
With private services, you will have direct communication with your therapist throughout the course of care.
-
Without the use of insurance, there are no limitations on how many sessions per month, per year, etc. With private pay, you can access services regardless of diagnosis or eligibility criteria.
-
A private therapist can give feedback immediately after the session and discuss carry-over recommendations, which may not be the case in other settings. This leads to greater progress in less time.
