Hi! I’m Jackie — founder & owner of the Swell Home Services, LLC. — wife + homeschooling mama of two, a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), and a wellness educator/enthusiast.
I currently live outside of Philadelphia in a small New Jersey suburb with my husband/twin flame, and our two wildly-spirited children. in my (little but sacred) spare time, I enjoy learning, creating, discovering new music, health + nutrition, and traveling the world.
I intend for this to be a site of service, a landing place. a space to share my gifts + resources as a wife + mother, an (S)LP, a lover of all things (WELL)ness, a semi-(HOME)schooler, + a big fan of the sea. a SWELL HOME to find inspiration and tools for your own journey.

Speech Pathology
Serving runs deep in my blood. As a young girl, I often dreamt of becoming a teacher or a nurse. When the time came to begin exploring career paths, a friend of mine mentioned the field of Speech Pathology — I was intrigued to say the least. I enrolled in the intro course in my undergraduate studies, and basically fell in love. It was the perfect union of education and medicine.
I received my Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from Loyola University, hold a license in both New Jersey + Pennsylvania, and am certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
With nearly 20 years experience working with pediatrics and adults in both medical and school-based settings, my goal as an educator and a therapist is to provide the tools to support you and/or your child in learning, growing, and gaining confidence in communication skills.
Holistic Wellness
I’ve spend the better part of the last 10 years in the natural wellness space. What began as a quest to lower my toxic load, developed into a deep passion for educating others to do the same. Root-cause healing has served as the undercurrent in all that I do.
I am now blessed to be using and teaching about the benefits of natural solutions with people all across the globe. My specific realms of interest in natural wellness include low-tox living, health + nourishment, clean beauty + pure essential oils.
You can often find me slathered in my favorite oil (frankincense, of course), juice or smoothie in hand, wrangling my two little ones off to explore the outdoors (preferably toward the water).
I look forward to connecting with you about all things wellness, and expanding along side of you on your journey toward natural healing. You belong here.
Our homeschooling adventures began when my daughter was just 22 months old. She had an affinity for learning at a very young age, and I wanted to foster that desire as best I could. I researched some play-based curriculums for toddlers, stumbled upon Habitat SchoolHouse and the rest is history!
We loosely follow the philosophies of Montessori and Waldorf, as well as a bit of Unschooling, and are huge fans of Nature-Based learning. The journey thus far has been quite magical, despite any bumps we’ve encountered. I’m passionate about sharing our experiences with others in hopes that we can help pave the way for a future, rich with life-long learners.
